Description

CAIR is used to track all of the immunization history for patients.  It is a state-wide tracking system, not just for Public Health.  This system requires that ScriptX is installed on the workstation. The California Immunization Registry (CAIR2) is a secure, confidential, statewide computerized immunization information system for California residents.

The California Immunization Registry (CAIR2) is a secure, confidential, statewide computerized immunization information system for California residents.  The California Immunization Registry (CAIR) can help make this process much easier and more successful for you.   Currently, CAIR2 contains patient data from 7 of the 10 previous regional registries (NorCal, Greater Sacramento, Bay Area, Central Coast, Central Valley, LA-Orange, and Inland Empire).

Service Qualification

Users attend a CAIR training where they register to access the CAIR system.  Users then access the system on line at https://cair.cdph.ca.gov

Service Elements

Service Desk/Incident Management

  • User: Users that cannot access CAIR will initiate a Enterprise Help Desk service ticket
  • Tier 1 - PHIS Help Desk Remote Access: PHIS Help Desk tries to resolve service ticket remotely. If unsuccessful, proceed to Tier 2
  • Tier 2 – Immunization Support Technician: Immunization Support will refer user to CAIR Help Desk technician(s) troubleshoot the issue. If unsuccessful, technician works with ISD and facility network technician to resolve ticket. If successful, technician goes to User’s PC to resolve service ticket. If ticket cannot be resolved, proceed to Tier 3
  • Tier 3 – Immunizaiton Support Places Service Ticket with ISD: One of the designated facility staff will assign ticket to ISD Support
  • Tier 4 - ISD: will notify Immunization Support when done who will resolve the service ticket

  • 6/05/2017 This release incorporates the correction of some minor defects discovered during the CAIR Implementation contract period and minor enhancements to the California Immunization Registry software.

Requirements

Minimum user requirements:

  • This site will work optimally for users logging in with Internet Explorer browsers versions 8 or higher, as well as Chrome, Safari or Firefox. If you are using alternate browsers and experience display issues, please consider switching to one of the supported browsers.

Timelines

System available 24 hours 7 days.     

Downtime for system upgrades: To minimize impact for CAIR users which run from 7:30 am – 5:00 pm, CAIR conducts system upgrades after hours.  Immunization Support notifies all the impacted parties ASAP.
