SAS License Renewal

On a yearly basis it is required that we update our SAS licenses for all SAS users. Though the process is very straightforward it is required that all steps be completed before you do a successful renewal.


Procedure

The following steps will walk you through how to renew the license:

  1. First, copy the needed SAS Installation Data.TXT File to a LOCAL location on the desktop (\\hosted.lac.com\DPH\IS \Software\APPS\SAS\2019 Licese Keys). You will need to determine which version of SAS the user has beforehand.
  2. From the search button search for Renew SAS Software
    1. If you do not find it through the search menu, please on the start button and scroll down to SAS > SAS 9.3 Utilities > Renew SAS Software.
  3. As the text at the top of the Renew SAS Software window indicates, there are three steps in renewing your SAS software:
    1. Select a SAS Installation Data File
    2. Choose from available SETINITs
    3. Specify data file location
  4. Click Next to advance through the three steps.
